Meet Our Amazing Artists:Lineup: @thedarkroomcollective x Spillover crew I’m thrilled about this intervention with The Darkroom Collective and Spillover Crew. My series, Home, explores how our sense of shelter and comfort adapts to the environment we find ourselves in. Homes are more than just physical structures; they offer us refuge and connection. Some people even travel to places where they feel more at ease—places that feel like “home.”

“Kesällä Sitten” is more than just a phrase; it encapsulates the essence of Finnish culture as winter looms over the horizon. It embodies the mindset of a society that, faced with the long, dark winter, instinctively seeks to pause, reflect, and rest. However, in a fast-paced world that demands relentless progress, this natural inclination is at odds with societal expectations. The Finnish winter becomes a delicate balancing act between our need for introspection and the external push to keep moving forward. How each person navigates this internal conflict varies – some push through with the same zest as in the endless days of summer, while others scale back, saving their energy and excitement for the warmth of next summer.

This exhibition, Kesällä Sitten, brings these different coping mechanisms to light, showcasing the resilience, creativity, and adaptability needed to endure the challenging season. Through powerful visual art, our hyper-talented artists capture the essence of navigating the Finnish winter and the emotions that come with it.

As part of this exploration, Home delves into these ideas of adaptability and personal refuge through three photographs, each capturing a different cultural and environmental connection to the concept of "home." This series invites viewers to experience winter as both a season of preparation and introspection, echoing the spirit of Kesällä Sitten.

Welcome to Kesällä Sitten Visual Art Exhibition! Our artists will guide you through the myriad of moments that make winter not just a time to endure, but one to experience and reflect upon. Witness how their works embody the tension between the call for rest and society’s demand for action.
